Do you want to make a difference in your child’s educational experience? Then come join us and get involved! The PTA welcomes you to help in any way you can. We have many opportunities that are during the day AND/OR in the evening.
Texas PTA promotes local, regional and state efforts to promote the well-being for all children in our state by working with principals, superintendents, school boards, business and community leaders, the legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Department of Education to make sure child related concerns are being met.
In order to volunteer with your PTA, you must first submit an application with CCISD. Please use one of the following two links to get started.

Truth: The PTA is for everyone! We accept stay-at-home moms, work-at-home moms, work-at-home dads, work-at-work moms, stay-at-home dads, home-at-work cousins, work-at-school brothers, school-at-work sisters and retirement-is-awesome grandparents. We even accept the brother-in-law that’s been living on your couch for the past six months. Did we miss anyone?
Truth: We always need more help! There is no such thing as too much participation from our children’s families.
Truth: Even if you can help at just one event or handle one task per year, it would be greatly appreciated. There are 720 hours in each 30-day month. Can you spare 3 of those hours to help out with your child’s school PTA?
Truth: Much of the PTA work can be done from home on your own schedule, or at events in the evening or on weekends. Yes, there is volunteering during the school day if you are able to do so. But no one does it all, so choose what works best for you.
Truth: We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who return, we also welcome new ones every year. We do strike up friendships and enjoy getting to know one another. This year, we already have several new Committee Chairs and volunteers, and we have not all met each other yet. Our volunteers range from Pre-K to 5th grade parents, so it’s a great chance to get to know parents from other grades you may not have met otherwise.
Truth: Each year, the PTA brings back favorites and tries new activities, fundraisers and events. Those new ideas come from volunteers! We’re always looking for new ways to improve the PTA for the benefit of our teachers, parents and students.
