Learn More: CCISD Dual Language Program
Dual language programs in CCISD offer students the unique opportunity to learn Spanish or English, depending on the student’s home language. Dual language programs are offered at five elementary schools as well as three intermediate schools to support the learning progression.
English-speaking students may enter the Dual Language Program in either kindergarten or another grade level if they meet the entry criteria for that grade level.
In our Dual Language Program, both Spanish and English-speaking students share a classroom and receive instruction in both languages. The classroom is composed of approximately 1/2 native Spanish speakers and 1/2 native English speakers. The Dual Language Program follows a 80/20 model.
